The Maker
Nina O’Reilly
2005, I tried to buy a pair of slippers from a local lady named Anna in my home village of Westendorf, nestled in the heart of the Austrian Tirol. However, Anna wouldn’t sell me a pair. Instead, she told me that if I truly appreciated the craftsmanship, I should learn it myself. Intrigued by her words, I did just that.
The craft Anna referred to had been passed down through generations, dating back to the 18th century. Over the years, I honed my skills, learning the art of crafting slippers by hand.
Years later, living on the Atlantic Coast in the North-West of Ireland and inspired by the cold, I started my self-taught apprenticeship in sewing and freemotion embroidery. I created a collection of 100% wool products, each one handmade with care and dedication. The result is a range of functional, timeless pieces.
Today, I specialize in crafting luxurios, one-of-a-kind home and wearable products made from 100% wool. Every item is meticulously handcrafted from start to finish in my studio in Strandhill, Co. Sligo, Ireland.
Crafting with Purpose
By combining the heritage of the Tyrolean Alps with the natural beauty of the Atlantic coastline, I have developed a stunning collection that blends traditional craftsmanship with a modern sensibility.
Timeless, Sustainable Craftsmanship
My approach prioritizes sustainability and uniqueness, guaranteeing that every creation is as on-of-a-kind.
Each of my pieces is crafted with attention to detail, quality, and care. From the initial design to the final stitch. I believe in the power of handmade – not just as a technique, but as a way of life that honors the past, respects nature, and provides something truly special for those who appreciate it.
Wool
My commitment lies in championing 100% natural fibres. I take great pride in sourcing limited quantities of premium wool from Ireland and Austria. By using deadstock, by-products, and offcuts I ensure minimize waste and giving new life to what already exists, valuing a sustainable and exclusive collection.

100% Natural
The oldest known fibre.
Biodegradable
It releases valuable nutrients and carbon back into the soil, leaving a zero micro plastic footprint.
Renewable
Sheep are shorn annually, allowing for continuous harvesting of wool.
Recyclable
Wool is 100% recyclable and is the worlds most recycled textile.
Lavender
For my lavender pouches, I use only Irish-grown lavender, hand-harvested and dried in Co. Wicklow.
Lavender offers numerous benefits, including:
Restoring healthy sleep
Providing a calming and soothing effect
Reducing headaches, anxiety and depression
Lavender is a highly sustainable crop, as it does not rely on pesticides or fertilizers.
